Space Minister Heads to US Symposium

Judith Collins' trip announced.

New Zealand's Space Minister Judith Collins will travel to the United States next week to attend the 40th Space Symposium. The event, which attracts international companies and government representatives, offers an opportunity for New Zealand to promote its space-related business sector.

Minister Collins plans to deliver a speech highlighting New Zealand's growing presence in space and advanced aviation sectors. This year marks a significant milestone, with New Zealand conducting the third highest number of launches globally. The minister aims to build on this achievement by promoting economic growth and reducing living costs for Kiwis.

During her visit, Collins will sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between New Zealand and Colorado, deepening their relationship and fostering opportunities in aerospace, technology, science, and geothermal sectors. She will also host a reception showcasing New Zealand's space sector, undertake meetings across her portfolio, and meet with Colorado Governor Jared Polis to follow up on previous discussions.

Minister Collins is set to depart for the US from April 8-12.
