New Members Appointed to NZTA Board

Two new appointments have been made.

Transport Minister Simeon Brown has announced the appointment of Mary-Anne Macleod and Mike Rudge as members to the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) Board for a three-year term. Their appointments began on November 1, 2024, and will conclude on October 31, 2027. This comes after the recent appointment of Simon Bridges as Chair in March.

According to Minister Brown, both appointees bring significant experience and skills, spanning governance, engineering, and transport technology. He expressed confidence that they would help deliver the Government's priorities and meet its ambitious work programme, which includes increasing road maintenance and building new roads. The collective experience on the Board covers a range of areas, including central and local government knowledge, regulation, and land transport engineering.

The appointments were made to support the Government's plan to boost productivity and rebuild the economy through improved transport infrastructure. Minister Brown also thanked outgoing members John Bridgman and Ngarimu Blair for their services to the Board since 2020 and 2021 respectively.
