NZ-Brazil Trade Boosted by $100m Deal

13 partnerships signed between New Zealand and Brazilian companies.

The Minister for Trade Todd McClay has announced the signing of 13 Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between New Zealand and Brazilian companies, as part of the New Zealand Trade Mission to São Paulo. These MOUs are expected to generate over $100 million in revenue for New Zealand's economy over the next three years.

The agreements cover various sectors including technology, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and education. The partnerships will increase market access to Latin America, deepen people-to-people connections between the two nations, and contribute to Brazil's economic growth. Notable partnerships include the establishment of a New Zealand Business Council in Brazil, supply of telemetry technology to universities, and introduction of Les Mills Pilates classes across Brazil.

These MOUs mark a significant step in strengthening trade relations between New Zealand and Brazil. The partnerships reflect the Government's commitment to driving innovation, trade, and shared prosperity through trade missions. The agreements are set to achieve the ambitious target of doubling trade by value in 10 years.

The signed MOUs will be instrumental in boosting New Zealand's economy while also contributing to Brazil's economic growth, making it a win-win situation for both countries.
