Government Showcases NZ Infrastructure Pipeline

NZ to attract $6 trillion in investment.

Infrastructure Minister Chris Bishop says New Zealand will showcase its infrastructure pipeline and growth sectors at next week's Infrastructure Investment Summit. The event aims to attract international investment into key projects such as transport, health, education, and courts.

Ministers will present the country's ambitious pipeline of projects over two days, highlighting four key growth sectors: aquaculture, renewable energy, clean technology, and advanced transportation. Representatives from iwi (Māori) entities, ACC, and the New Zealand Super Fund will also attend to showcase Māori economic opportunities.

The Government is reforming foreign investment laws and immigration settings to create a more welcoming regulatory environment for international capital. The summit marks one part of the Government's agenda to grow New Zealand's economy and improve living standards for Kiwis.

International attendees from 14 countries, managing assets worth around $6 trillion, will participate in the summit at their own cost. By showcasing its infrastructure pipeline and growth sectors, New Zealand aims to demonstrate its potential as a worthwhile investment opportunity.
