New Zealand delegation attends 2025 International Summit.
Education Minister Erica Stanford is leading a New Zealand delegation to Iceland, the UK, Sweden, and Germany as part of her international tour. The delegation aims to share best practices in education and gain insight into common challenges faced by high-performing OECD countries.
The main focus of this year's summit is 'Quality Education: The Key to Prosperity and Well-being', with discussion topics including building a foundation for equitable and inclusive education, supporting educators to foster equity and wellbeing, and the educator's role in child-centred education systems. The delegation includes representatives from the Ministry of Education, PPTA Te Wehengarua, and NZEI Te Riu Roa.
Minister Stanford will also travel to the UK, where she will meet with officials from various educational institutions and attend a keynote speech at the 2025 Knowledge Rich Curriculum Forum in Stockholm. Her trip is expected to strengthen New Zealand's education ties worldwide.
